Upcoming WORKSHOPS
- Fourth Meeting of the Critical Genealogies Workshop, University of Richmond, October 21–22, 2022.
- Sessions will take place at the Omni Richmond Hotel in the centrally-located Shockoe Slip area of Richmond (100 South 12th Street; Richmond, VA 23219). Sessions are scheduled for the full day on Friday October 21st and Saturday October 22nd. Participants who arrive on Thursday October 20th are invited to gather in the evening at the bar at the Omni Richmond Hotel (exact time/location to follow).
- This is a pre-read event; all papers will be circulated among all participants. Please be prepared to email your paper by September 1 to criticalgenealogies@gmail.com. Each paper will be assigned two commentators; the first commentator will offer a 5-minute summary of the paper, and the second commentator will have 5 minutes to raise questions. To allow participants to pre-read papers, please limit your paper to max. 10,000 words.
- A schedule for the workshop is in preparation and we hope to have a first draft of the schedule posted (and emailed to participants) by early July.
